Uncommon Transaction Mapping
Certain types of Stripe transactions necessitate additional information for proper processing. Examples include:
-
Financing transactions (e.g., Stripe Capital)
-
Stripe Connect transfers
-
Reserved Funds
-
Stripe Climate Contributions
-
Disputes and other adjustments
These types of balance transactions can affect payouts and need to be explicitly mapped in Acodei.
Error Message
When one of these transaction types is detected but not yet mapped, you will see the following message in the data feed:
[Balance transaction type] detected, please turn on [transaction type] in Balance Transaction Mapping. How to Resolve This Issue
-
Access Balance Transaction Mapping
-
Go to the Account Mapping page.
-
Open the Balance Transaction Mapping section (if you don’t see it, click Customize in the top right and toggle it on).
-
-
Create or Select Products
-
For each balance transaction type, you must add a product.
-
In some cases, you may want to create a new account in your chart of accounts and link a new product to that account.
-
In other cases, you may map the transaction type to an existing product (for example, Sales, Refunds, or Contributions).
-
-
Save Your Changes
-
After assigning products, save your changes.
-
Acodei will then process these balance transactions in the daily balance summary or upon payout, depending on your settings.
-
Fixing an Unsynced Payout
If a payout is not synced because of a balance transaction mapping error:
-
Go to the Payouts tab in the Data Feed.
-
Resync the deposit once the missing mapping has been added.
Notes
-
Determining which balance transaction types to map to which products is entirely up to you and your accountant.
